I am a sucker for a murder mystery so I gladly added this book to my que. I really enjoyed the mixture of magic with ancient Rome. The history buff was taken back but the fantasy lover in me was enthralled. There is a lot of time taken to build this world and bring the reader into it which at times can almost bog down a very interesting mystery. I love the twists in the story and it held my interest. I would recommend for lovers of fantasy and murder mysteries.
